Sorry I've been away lately.

Been watching over Chio. It's been kind of a bitch. She keeps eating all my cup o' noodles, so I'm constantly running out to the store to buy more.

She still hasn't recovered her memory, but... She's a sweet girl. No matter how much I tell her to rest so she can get back her memory, she keeps insisting on helping me around the house.

Well... Can't say this isn't good for me.

You know you're a total ladies' man when they literally come running to you.

That cute girl that's been wandering around outside my apartment rang my doorbell today. Her name's Chio. And, dayumn, does she know how to push my buttons or what?

"So, why have you come here, Chio?"
"I don't know. I just felt like... Like I needed to talk to you. Like... I don't know. I just feel safe around you."
"Damn, girl. Hold on, no need to get that mushy on me yet! We just met, you know? I mean, I know I'm a total stud with washboard abs, but, no need to make things awkward!"


We sat down and talked for a few hours. She has no home, and no memory (What is it with Japanese girls and amnesia around here?). "Every day, I wake up just remembering my name," she said. "I don't even remember what happened yesterday."

I'm letting her stay in my house until I can figure out what to do with her. Hope she doesn't eat all my top ramen.

I was walking around where I met that girl, and... Dead body. Ewwww.

There was a big old knife in his chest, too. And there were maggots crawling around it, trying to eat up the corpse.

Why are there so many murders going on around here all of a sudden? The hell is going on?

I went over to the Asylum again to make sure all the locks were still in place, and to review the video footage. Nothing of note I could find on the tape (Although it looks like Kana shorted out the camera again a few hours before I got there. It was back up and working by the time I arrived though, so... Guess I don't have any evidence of her escape, right? ;)), but...

Lil' bro had a friggin' handprint on the back of his labcoat.

In blood.

Is he the one behind this? I've taken the coat in and given it to our lab guys, but... No match to the dead body, and... No match to Kana's blood either (Thank god.)

I seriously need a drink right now. Something really strong.

Finally gathered the balls to go and ask that girl for her name. She ran away before she could answer me, though.

Weird. Maybe next time, I shouldn't come up to her at 1:00 AM, when I look like some sort of stalker.

Should probably shave, too.

Just when I thought it was over.

We found another body out in a ditch near the asylum. There's bruises around his neck, and our guys down at the labs thinks he's died of asphyxiation. So, in short, he was strangled to death.

Looks like he's been out rotting for a few days too. Eww.

On a happier note, though, I saw the cutest girl wandering around outside my house last night. I was to shy to go out and talk to her, but... Hmmm.

Were I not smarter than that, I'd totally abuse my powers as a policeman to figure out who she is.

Search warrant GET!

Finally got that search warrant... And found nothing. No broken locks, no fingerprints in suspicious places, nothing.

Tried looking around on their security cameras... One of the cameras did short out for two hours, but the rest of the cameras showed nobody going in or out of that cell.

Just in case I missed something, though, I had the techies there upload a recording of that shortage. They had to speed it up to fit it on their servers, so you get to watch a wonderful 30 second one, not the god-aweful two-hour thing I got to see.

Why do I like this job again?

We haven't even finished investigating that murder, and now we have reports of a possible suicide down near the asylum.

I got a call at eleven-forty-something at night last night, telling me to get my ass down to the station stat. So, I had to go all the way upstairs, find a pair of pants to put on, throw on my uniform, and drive my drunk self all the way down to the station.

Once I got there, my boss was there telling me to get my ass down to the asylum stat. Couldn't you have just told me to go there instead? So, I drive my drunk self all the way over there. All the way across town, in the middle of the night.

When I get there, I see that girl from before, the older sister, hanging from a tree. Like a pinata.

That's when I knew it was gonna be a long night.

No evidence of foul play, but... no evidence of suicide yet, either.

No evidence of anything, really.
